Six Feet Under cover Losertown's very own Anomie Train has a new CD, Six Feet Under, that has just been released (December 2002). It is now available at CD Baby! So forget about buying food or paying rent--buy the CD!

The CD was produced at Losertown and mastered at Seattle Disc Mastering by Mark Guenther. The CD title is taken from a line in one of the upcoming tracks, Fallen Trees, and has nothing to do with the popular HBO series of the same name.

"I've never even seen the show because I don't have cable," said Steven Mon, the founder of Anomie Train, to no one in particular. "But if someone buys our new CD by mistake thinking it has something to do with the show, well then that's great because we don't give refunds."

"Oh yes, most definitely that would great!" chimed in Steve Mon, the lead guitarist. Stev Mon, the bass player, and also s.mon, the drummer all concurred.

The songs were for the most part written over the course of a year following a long dry spell after the release of their debut CD, Palookaville, which used to be available on MP3.com (now dead). Don't worry, you're not missing anything. It was that bad.

"We were pretty depressed," said Steven. "People were vicious in their responses. One guy said I sang like a fat, smelly guy who had diarrhea that morning, and then because the toilet paper broke, I got it all over my fingers and the sink was broken so I couldn't wash it off and because of that I couldn't concentrate on singing properly."

"Yeah, plus the fact that we didn't sell any copies at all," said Stev the bass player.

But Anomie Train say they have put all of that behind them and that everything is full steam ahead with their new CD. After Palookaville, there's no where else to go but up. Unless you count sideways, in which case they would still be on the very bottom.
