Songs of Desperation and Despair

A Crap Art Album-a-Day Project

Stev, Anomie Train's surly bass player who always has a rain cloud in tow wherever he goes, came to the group with a pet project he's been incubating all summer long.

"We don't write enough songs about complete and utter despair," he said. "I'm not talking about the usual guy loses girl, oh boo hoo I'm so sad songs, but songs that depict total hopelessness, you know--guy loses his house, his job, his wife dies--every day crap that happens!"

Stev's first song was Nobody Likes Me. And then he came upon the Crap Art: Album-a-Day website, which inspired him to spew out these seven songs (clocking in at 20:11) in a ten hour period, available both as a streaming lo-fi RealAudio file and downloadable mp3 file.
