Big New Yorker

Pizza Hut's The Big New Yorker

Who doesn't love pizza? Anomie Train appreciates the utility of a dish that can offer up all four of the food groups on one plate. The band has developed a certain taste for a pie which isn't considered the most authentic by many--and that is, the Big New Yorker from Pizza Hut.

It has a thin crust, a very strong and sweet tomato sauce, and adequate garlicky flavor--at least it seems like garlic--and lot's of gooey cheeze. Again, perhaps not an authentic taste to many, but it suits the band's taste buds perfectly. The toppings are fairly generous, and are fresh, and most important, it is inexpensive at $9.99 for a 16" pie. The band does not like any of Pizza Hut's other pizzas--just the Big New Yorker.

But why does the pizza never look like the one in the advertisement? A cursory glance at the picture above reveals a most homely pizza. Look how the toppings are unevenly spread across the pie. Pepperoni slices are stacked upon each other. Nevertheless, this pizza was consumed in record time.
